A good friend of mine asked for my help to arrange a beautiful afternoon tea party as a surprise for her Mum’s 70th birthday, of course I jumped on board on a hot June afternoon to make it a truly special scene with gorgeous pink blooms.
Kate bought her Mum, Maureen a lovely archway which was screaming to be adorned with flowers. We opted for large pink hydrangeas to tie in with the invites that Kate sent to Maureen’s closest friends. To compliment the hydrangeas I used Sweet Avalanche and Lazise Roses in pale in pink and lemon scented waxflower and pink hypericum berries. The garden wall and table centre pieces were pale grey vases and pots which looked lush against the pinks and to add to the afternoon tea theme I filled some silver tea sets with the blooms too.
A few words from Kate:
“Just wanted to say a huge thank you for today. I can’t tell you how amazing and pleased with the flowers we are. Mum is going to love it!! I think there will be tears too!!”
